Week 1

Hello from the beautiful mexico city mtc! aka the CCM
Im just going to start out and apologize right now for my spelling and\or grammar... being here just made me really bad in both of those subjects now in both english and spanish haha lol @ my life SPANISH IS SO HARD! but also the gift of tongues is so real guys. like its been like a week and eventhough i cant speak it (like at all) i can understand a ton of it!... but i guess thats what happens when all your teachers only speak spanish to you all day long haha ahhh i feel so rushed i dont even know what to talk about. i guess i will just start off by saying that i dont have a lot of time so if you emailed me much thanks i love you all and will respond to as many as i can. also if you havent guessed yet Pdays are thursdays and i will probably email earlier just today we got the opportunity to go to the mexico city temple so hence why im emailing later. (also yes i had to do it in spanish and yes the lady had to go word by word with me)
I LOVE MEXICO! i have only got to see a little of it cause you are seriously trapped in the CCM (which isnt necessarily a bad thing) but we got to see lots of it since the temple is like a 45 minute drive. Speaking of driving, dad the drivers here are actually worse than you were in Europe, and they dont have vivian to guide them! but really its crazy there are like no lanes and people just turn when ever they feel like it and we were all freaking out on the bus!
My district is one of the biggest, we have 7 elders and then its just me and my Hermana, whom i love by the way (we spend most of our days laughing, usually about how bad at spanish we are, and you really need laughter in the CCM let me tell you that) and out of the 9 of us 5 are going to Ciudad Juarez so thats awesome! The CCM is an emotional roller coaster let me tell you that. You just feel like crying all the time cause youre either super frustrated, sad, happy, tired, or you can just feel the spirit so strong or just all of them at once. Me and my companion seriously cry all the time and most of the time we dont even know why...  also i learned the hard way that there are many, many, many, many mosquitos her in mexico city. my current count right now is 15, 6 of those are super swollen so yeah thats fun.
This work is hard but it is also the most rewarding and fulfilling thing i have ever done... and its just week 2. there are many times when i get really down on myself and just get angry and sad but then something will instantly happen and you teach wonderful lesson and you know the person barely understands you but they feel the spirit or we have a devotional or get to go to the temple or get to watch GENERAL CONFERENCE (which was so good oh my gosh. my favorite was elder lawrence in the sunday morning session and of course elder hollands, all the missionaries were crying during his since we all miss our moms so much) the weather is a lot like Hemets so at least one thing feels like home haha. Ok guys i am running out of time and dont know what else to say except that overall being a missionary is the greatest thing in the world and it might not be easy 24/7 but man i just love the work and i love mexico and just cant wait to get to Juarez
SENDING ALL MY LOVE
Hermana Foutz
